The community is for those who desire consistent nature based meet ups with other like-minded families. Families who value outdoor play and learning in nature regardless of weather. We are families who do not do drop off learning in classroom settings but look for ways to learn from the world around us - together as a family. We are solid in our confidence and ability to raise our children without the use of school like settings. Our meet up is the absolute perfect spot for families to grow and learn together in nature.
*We are families who are opting out of drop off education*
The Young Naturalist program is best for those who really do want to unschool homeschool but feel they need direction or a program but aren't comfortable to leave their children with strangers for education. It is for those who desire consistent nature based meet ups with other like-minded families. The program is for brand new home educating families wanting to get the hang of it with scaffolding from other home educators, or home educators who like company on the journey. The program empowers parents to educate their children in a completely unique way based on their individual needs. Parents will delight in watching their child/children grow and learn, problem solve and organically gain problem solving and communication skills. The program is completely nature forward with all activities being held in an outdoor nature setting regardless of weather. It is Charlotte Mason/Waldorf inspired

Monday free forest play is a staple to our week. We want to start our Monday off a bit earlier with this literature based nature connection hour.
We will read a beautiful book in the forest, play games and spend time together connecting to nature. It is the perfect way to get a nature connection class in before our community free play. This is perfect for any age child(ren) with their adult chaperone.
These are offered on Mondays prior to our Monday hike and are for families looking to add a literature based class in nature with the Proud Lake Nature School.
This can be drop in or enrolled for the season. We like the commitment of the season as it helps us to prioritize our Mondays in nature. Class is limited to ten families with those enrolled for the season getting priority placement.
Know my goal is to increase our outdoor time, share amazing books and encourage organic nature learning/connection.

Every week I share our Monday hike openly in hopes of saving more families from public school, making new friends and helping for others to find their people.
This is FREE PLAY time for the kids in the forest. We do this weekly as part of our unschool homeschool routine and see it as a HIGH priority for our family.
This is a way to make and learn about friendship. It is only as good as you make it as friendships take time to develop. I recommend FOUR continuous meet ups before deciding if this works or doesn't work for you and your family. My children are excited for this meet up weekly.
Want to come along for the FREE Monday hike with us?
Reach out! You will need meet up directions which I do not post publicly to keep the meet up kiddos and their families safe ❤
