Mondays - How they Work

Monday Free Play Hikes – How It Works

Mondays are free for the community—but they are not “free.”

Monday Free Play is not a paid program, and it is not a drop-off activity or a casual meetup. It is a community space rooted in relationship, responsibility, and reciprocity.

What makes someone part of our Monday community isn’t a fee—it’s consistent showing up, contributing, and leaning in. Mondays are shared work: welcoming others, holding space, caring for the land, and modeling connection for our children.

New families are welcome to visit once per month on the first Monday of each month. This allows families to experience our rhythm while protecting the integrity of the community we’re building.

Over time, families who continue on Mondays are those who actively participate and contribute. From this steady commitment grows our deeper community offerings—book club, prayer pals, and our homeschool village—which are held privately for families who are consistently showing up and investing in relationship.

Mondays aren’t free because they cost nothing.
They’re meaningful because they cost something of us.

Prayer Group

A Christ-Centered Community Offering

Our Christ-rooted prayer community for parents who are actively participating in our homeschool community life and who desire to carry one another in prayer through the rhythms of everyday family life.

This group exists to help us walk faithfully together, not just in nature or learning, but spiritually. We believe prayer is not an add-on—it is the foundation. Our prayer life is grounded in Scripture, shaped by humility, and centered on Christ.

Prayer Group is for families who:

  • Desire to grow in faith while raising their children
  • Are willing to pray consistently for another family
  • Value sincerity, confidentiality, and showing up for one another
  • Are already leaning into community through regular participation

This is not a casual or public group. Prayer group is held privately for families who are actively showing up and contributing to community life. It is meant to be a place of trust, reverence, and spiritual care—where burdens are shared, joys are lifted, and Christ remains at the center.

Book Club

Our Community Book Club is a relationship-centered, discussion-based gathering for parents who are actively participating in our homeschool community life and who desire to grow thoughtfully—both personally and as parents—alongside others.

We read books slowly and intentionally, choosing titles that support:

  • family connection and attachment
  • simplicity and rhythm
  • nature-based childhood
  • faith, formation, and personal growth
  • community, reciprocity, and belonging

This is not a book club for skimming or keeping up appearances. It’s for parents who are willing to show up, read reflectively, listen deeply, and engage honestly—even when the conversations are stretching or uncomfortable.

Our book club is held privately for families who are consistently showing up and contributing to the wider community. Discussions are rooted in respect, confidentiality, and shared commitment, with space for questions, reflection, and lived experience. Faith and Scripture often inform our conversations, though the focus remains on thoughtful dialogue and relational growth.

Book Club is one of the ways we slow down, learn together, and deepen our capacity to lead our families with intention.

New Here?

Start Here.

Welcome — we’re glad you found us.

Our community is built slowly and intentionally through shared rhythm, relationship, and consistent presence. Because of that, there’s a simple way we invite new families to begin.

The first step is Monday Free Play.

New families are welcome to visit once per month on the first Monday of each month. This gives you a chance to experience our values, meet other families, and see if our community feels like a good fit for your family.

Monday Free Play is not a paid program, but it is not casual or drop-off. It’s a community space rooted in showing up, contributing, and caring for one another and the land. Families who continue on Mondays do so through consistency and participation over time.

As relationships grow, families who are actively leaning into community life may be invited into deeper offerings such as Book Club, Prayer Pals, and our Homeschool Village. These spaces are held privately for families who are consistently showing up and contributing.

We believe community isn’t something you sign up for — it’s something you build. If that resonates, we invite you to start with a First Monday and see where the path leads.
